How Can severe Foot Pain Be Treated?

I have pain in the heel on my right foot. If I am sitting it is fine but the more I walk on it the more painful it gets and I find myself dragging it instead of putting weight on it. May I say too that I work in retail and am on my feet for 4-6 hours at a time.

Hi,I have gone through your query.I am of the opinion that you are having either Calcaneal spur or Plantar Fasciculitis.Do an alternate cold & hot compress.Take a pain killer/anti inflammatory for the pain.Use a Heel-pad.You may need X-Ray.
